Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Adam Mohd Isa, an individual developer, covering your use of the Amberdash app for iPhone. Installing or using the app means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
1. License
You get a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Amberdash on Apple devices that you own or control, in the way the App Store rules allow. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app or any part of it, except where the law gives you that right regardless of this clause.
2. Requirements
Amberdash is an iPhone app and it needs iOS 18 or later. The widgets on the CarPlay screen need iOS 26, because that is the version where Apple opened that screen to third-party widgets. Your car also has to support CarPlay for those widgets to appear on the car display. Buying the app or a subscription does not change what your iPhone or your car supports.
3. Purchases and subscriptions
Amberdash offers three paid options. Premium Weekly is an auto-renewable subscription with a period of one week, Premium Yearly is an auto-renewable subscription with a period of one year, and Premium Lifetime is a one-time purchase that does not renew. Each of the three unlocks all six widgets, every startup sound and every color theme. The price of each option is shown in the app and on the App Store product page, in your local currency, before you buy. All payment is handled by Apple through your Apple Account, and we never see or store your payment details. The terms below are the ones Apple requires us to state.
- Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The title of the option, the length of its period and the current price are all shown before you confirm.
- Renewal. Premium Weekly renews every week and Premium Yearly renews every year, both automatically, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price stated for the next period.
- Canceling. You can manage or cancel a subscription yourself in the App Store account settings on your iPhone, by opening Settings, tapping your name, then Subscriptions. Canceling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Free trial. Where a free trial or an introductory offer is made available, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription, as Apple requires.
- Premium Lifetime. This option is a single payment that unlocks the paid features for the lifetime of the app on your Apple Account, and it does not renew and is not a subscription.
- Restoring. A purchase is tied to the Apple Account that bought it. Signing in with that same Apple Account and using Restore Purchases in the app brings your unlock back, including on a new iPhone.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms, not by us. Requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com or your purchase history in the App Store. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.
- Price changes. If the price of a subscription changes, Apple notifies you and asks for your consent before the new price is charged, in line with App Store rules.
4. Safe driving
Park first, then set up. Choose your widgets and sounds while the car is parked, and never touch the app, your iPhone, or the car display in a way that takes your attention off the road.
The speedometer in Amberdash reads GPS data from your iPhone and it is a convenience, not a calibrated instrument. It can be delayed or inaccurate when the signal is weak, in tunnels, in parking garages, or in poor weather. The speedometer in your car and the speed limit signs on the road are what you follow. You are responsible for obeying every traffic law that applies to you, and you use this app at your own risk.
5. Weather and other outside data
Weather in the app comes from Open-Meteo at open-meteo.com, which is a separate service that we do not control, and the weather widget sends it an approximate location each time it refreshes, as the Privacy Policy explains. Forecasts can be wrong, delayed, or unavailable, and we make no promise about them. Calendar events shown in a widget come from the calendars on your own device.
6. Your content
Photos you pick, sounds you choose, and trips you record stay yours, and they stay on your device. You are responsible for having the right to use any photo or sound you add to the app.
7. Intellectual property
The app itself, its name, its design, and its code remain the property of the developer. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you beyond the license in clause 1.
8. Availability and changes
Features may be added, changed, or removed as iOS and CarPlay change, and an update may be required for the app to keep working correctly. If a feature has to be retired, the paid unlock still covers the app as a whole and not any single feature forever.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Amberdash is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate at all times.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, and is not liable for lost data, lost profit, a traffic fine, an accident, or any other damage arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for Amberdash. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and these terms are between you and the developer alone. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
12. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it, and remember to cancel the subscription separately if you have one. We may end your license if you break these terms in a serious way.
13. Changes to these terms
An updated version of these terms is published on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after that date means the updated terms apply.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute, without taking away any right you have as a consumer in the country where you live.
